November 2023
The History Group has recently published a new booklet on the Baslow Hydro:
The Vanished Baslow Grand Hotel & Hydro is based on a talk given by Mike Woffenden to the Society in October 2023 with the assistance of Anne Tempest and David Dalrymple-Smith and with additional material researched from newspaper archives by Mike Holcombe.
Copies of the booklet are available from the Baslow Village Shop and SPAR, priced £2.50.
YET MORE NEWS
The group has recently republished this leaflet showing a walk around the village which describes many interesting facts about its history and heritage. They are obtainable from most retail outlets in Nether End and Church End including the Co-op and the Village Shop. In the past, this leaflet has been very popular with visitors to the area. If any owners of hotels, guest houses or B&Bs would like a supply for their guests, please contact David Dawson on 07940438988 or email: [email protected] |
